Park Comments
"I like it a lot. It's nice and
clean. There are benches, a
large space.
It's nice, safe place where you can
walk the dog."
"It's such a great place, best
thing
Marion has done. We didn't have
a big
enough property for her to run. It
gives her a
place to socialize."
ELK, The Hospice Dog
Elk at Marion General Hospital
Elk is a therapy dog who
visits patients at Marion General Hospital and those
being cared for by
the MGH Hospice Program. He was trained for a year and then
completed training at
Canine Companions For Independence in Delaware, Ohio. He
is considered a facility
dog and can visit the hospital, nursing homes, and patients
homes. When Elk is
not "working" he enjoys running and playing at the Kaufman
Dog Park, maybe you will
see Elk running and playing with all the other dogs.
